Discover the Boeing B-17 in civilian firefighting version. This package contains modified versions of the Boeing B-17 Freeware modeled by "Aeroplane Heaven" and modified by Nicholas Mitchell with their permission.
The firefighting B-17s served from the 1960s through the 1980s with a number of operators and varying retarder tank capacities, ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 gallons.
Most of the B-17s still flying today were fire-bombers in the not so distant past. The B-17s, like many other aircraft converted to firefighting, served longer as fire-bombers than their previous military or transport configurations.
The operators included in this package are: Aero Union, Evergreen International, Black Hills Aviation, Globe Air Inc. and TBM Inc.
Compatible with both FSX and P3D.
