139 b. JC Zhang Qian's Journey to the West

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

Back in 139 b. JC, the Emperor of China, Wudi, sent a diplomatic mission towards the West with a group of riders under the command of Zhang Qian. 13 years later, following a lot of adventures, they came back to Chang'an, which was, at that time, the capital of the China Empire, after having reached the city of Antioch in Turkey.

Without knowing it, Zhang Qian (195 - 114 b. JC), opened the Silk Road.

As far as high montains are on the way, a pressurized airplane will be necessary
