1924-1925 The Citroën Long-Distance Run in Africa
André Citroën (1878-1935), conceived this in 1924, as an advertising campaign. It began in October, and ended in August 1925.
The flight plan below is an aerial adaptation as when arrived in Kampala, Uganda, the Citröen caravan split into two groups, with a common goal, Madagascar. However, most traversed cities are included.
This journey begins in the northern hemisphere and end in the southern hemisphere, consequently, a change of season will occur.
Single or twin engine aircrafts with tundra wheels are recommended, as well as GPS, considering several short runways without asphalt coverage.
